Review: Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel

Today, I’d like to talk to you about Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, the third entry in the Army of Two franchise. Jon and I both enjoyed Army of Two and Army of Two: The 40th Day. We enjoyed it so much that I composed an ode to Army of Two for AoT 2′s [...]

Book Lovers Rejoice! GoodReads.com is your new best friend

I first came across GoodReads on Facebook. Several of my co-workers had joined and my news feed was suddenly being peppered with new books they had decided to read. Now, I am not generally a fan of Facebook apps. They drive me insane and as soon as I see a new game update or ANYTHING [...]

Busy playing PlanetSide 2/Holiday Hiatus

Jon and I are both busy playing PlanetSide 2, which launched recently. It is free to play. If you haven’t tried it, why haven’t you? If you are curious about starting, but want some intel, check out this reddit filled with tips and tricks. Also, Snowulf is taking a hiatus for the holidays. See you [...]

PlanetSide 2 launched today!

Today marks the release of PlanetSide 2. But before you start installing (the free 2 play) PlanetSide 2, you (apparently) need to uninstall the beta. Jon and I were both surprised by this, but according to @planetside2, it is necessary.

Planetside 2 and Alpha Squad

As we mentioned previously, Jon and I are both in the Beta for Planetside 2. This should come as no surprise, but we are still enjoying it, that is when we have time to play it.

Guild Wars 2′s First Holiday Event

Jon and I have been playing Guild Wars 2 for quite awhile. He’s a Human Ranger, while I’m an Asuran Elementalist. We are both enjoying the game (especially the level scaling so that we can party together successfully, even when we are a few levels apart) and looking forward to its recently announced first major [...]

Planetside 2 is out of NDA!

In what has become the typical way for getting news, John Smedley, the President of Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), tweeted that the NDA for Planetside 2 has been lifted. It’s a smart move since attempting to be secretive with thousands of testers in a semi-open beta never really works. Previously I’d mentioned I has been [...]

Guild Wars 2 is out, and it is good

This last week has been slightly problematic. Not only did we see the launch of Guild Wars 2, Planetside 2 hit beta and Counter Strike: Global Offensive dropped. It’s been a very busy week indeed. I haven’t spent much time in CS:GO and PS2 is still under NDA, so I wanted to spend a few [...]

Book Review: The Frontier Saga

Today’s “book” review is “The Frontier Saga” series. The book is in quotes because I’m talking about all three books as one item. This is because I enjoy the series greatly, but more so due to my fascination with the “episodic books” concept that this series utilizes. I will attempt to refrain from any major [...]

Happy Fireworks Day!

Yeah, I know, it’s the Fourth of July. Typically one calls today Independence Day (great movie Bee Tea Dub, rumored to have sequels in the works – yes plural). There are a lot of events going on today. Parades, BBQs, crazy summer hijinx… but really the highlight of the day is the Fireworks. When I [...]
